Students are required to undergo Summer Training for 6-8 weeks during the summer break between 4th & 5th Semester
GRADUATE PROGRAM IN BUSINESS MANAGEMENT [GPM]
PROGRAM OVERVIEW The GPM offered and delivered by the institute would be for duration of 3 year. The entire course would be covered in Six semesters. A total of 7–8 module (including workshops) will be taught in each semester. The additional academic and value added inputs (Apart from the core and elective modules) to be provided by the institute has been outlined below. These supplementary courses would widen the horizon of knowledge amongst students and also enhance their prospect of securing suitable placements in diversified sectors.
Certificate Program on retail management – 150 Hours
Certificate Program on insurance management – 100 Hours
Certificate Program on Employment enhancement – 40 Hours
Certificate Program on real estate management – 100 Hours (proposed)
English (IELTS equivalent) – 50 Hours
DOEACC “O” Level course - Spread over 4 semesters
Personality development workshops - 50 Hours
Foreign language course - French or Chinese - 40 Hours
Series of guest lectures by eminent academicians, industrialists, etc
ADDITIONAL INPUTS / SERVICES RENDERED BY THE INSTITUTE The placement cell would provide dedicated support and assistance to all students in identifying suitable placement opportunities. This is applicable provided the students have successfully completed their GPM Program and have obtained a minimum attendance record of 75% for each core, elective and supplementary module.
The placement cell will be assisting all student of GPM program to identify and thereafter undertake summer internship projects / apprenticeship with companies for a period of 3 months after completion of one year of the program.
TEACHING PEDAGOGY AND EVALUATION CRITERIA All modules pertaining to the GPM Program will be taught by appropriate faculty members and assessment will be done based on assignments submitted by students, performance in class/ mid term and University examinations, and group case study presentations made by students.
